Mens Athletic Fashion

Sweat is an inevitable part of sport, which isn’t exactly good news when you’re trying to look good. Few things can match sweat when it comes to dampening – aesthetically and literally – a stylish outfit. There is, however, a way to reconcile men’s fashion and men’s needs to get sweaty. All it takes is a little tweaking here and there to add some style to a look that places comfort and practicality first.

You might not have to wear a necktie and leather shoes to the gym, but looking good in the weights room also requires slightly more effort than throwing on the first tee and pair of shorts you find. Thinking about your outfit is an absolute must if looking sharp in the weights room is so important to you.

Concentrate! Coordinate!
One of the main reasons why gym outfits tend to turn heinous is that too few of them are properly coordinated. The end result is typically a pairing that looks blah at best, a very nondescript tee with a pair of shorts that’s just as unmemorable.

Neck ties always go great with oxford shirts. Sneakers with jeans will never go out of style. These combinations are very reliable because they’re coordinated in the sense that they have the same level of formality and a very similar ‘feel’ with each other. There’s no concrete, hard and fast rule to identify arrangements like these, but you can make finding them a lot easier on yourself.

Colors are a great place to start coordinating your outfits – for sports and other pursuits – especially if you buy from more than one brand. It’s a quick way to put together an outfit that’s cohesive and aesthetically pleasant without being brand-conscious.

Matching isn’t the only way to coordinate multiple articles of clothing. You’ll look just as good when you wear complementary or contrasting colors with each other, or a single bright and eye-catching hue paired with other more muted pieces. Do you remember all the rules you use to match neckties to office shirts? If you do, then you already have a very handy guide to matching different pieces of sportswear with each other.

Size Matters
At least, it does when you get the right size. Men’s fashion is all about fit, and the sports style niche is no exception. Although you might be getting slightly looser clothes to give you greater range of movement, hitting the gym is no reason to wear baggy garments.

The first place to check when looking at fit is the shoulder area. Whether you’re fitting a three-piece suit or a track suit, shoulder width is one of the most crucial measurements in the book. If it doesn’t fit at the shoulders, you may as well find yourself a different set of clothes. It’s too unsightly to wear and too expensive to have repaired.

Big, baggy shorts and pants aren’t a very good idea either, especially if you’ll just be in the weights room anyway. A few sports like football and running require special kinds of shorts because of the movements involved. For regular workouts, though, a pair of shorts that don’t balloon should be on your shopping list. Men most commonly err here, if the number of guys wearing pantaloon-sized jogging pants in the gym is any indication.

The truly fashion-conscious will see every situation – including sweaty workouts – as an equally good opportunity to practice upstanding style. It’s a simple matter, really, if you would only spend time to buy the appropriate pieces of clothing

Kate Moss’ Longchamp Collection Video Commercial

It’s called Faraway and it features Kate Moss and her glamorous Longchamp bags collection. We saw the collection a while back and we agreed it is fabulous and all sorts of amazing.

Well, now it’s time to watch Kate playing the tambourine, dancing around, swimming in the pool and walking around toting her wonderful Longchamp bags. In short – nothing we wouldn’t like to do any day! Right? riiight! Alasdair McLellan directing, Nancy Sinatra singing, Kate Moss advertising. A perfect recipe, it seems, wouldn’t you say? (now forget the glorious bags, where was that warm weather already?) (via)

White Shopper Bags You Can Tote All Year Long!

As much as the idea of trying to keep a white handbag clean completely stresses me out, there’s something about white leather bag that’s just undeniably luxurious. It’s pure and smooth, and it just somehow looks and feels automatically luxe even despite a simple silhouette. If you can get past the paranoia of avoiding stain-prone substances like coffee, grass, or anything that might taint the appearance of a pure white handbag, I’ve compiled a selection of pretty white shopper bags so you can embrace the freshest spring accessories trend while you window-shop and run errands in style! What I love about white handbags, aside from their air of elegance, is that it’s a form of white you can wear all year round — before, after, or on Labor Day — and the spring season is the perfect time to start!
