Unlike shoes, which Im hardly discriminating at all when it comes to purchasing, it takes a pretty special handbag to warrant a swipe of my credit card. I dont know if its the bigger investment, or the added pressure of having all the necessary compartments and coordinating with the appropriate fraction of my seasonal wardrobe, but Im quite the picky purse shopper! However, Ive noticed that my collection could definitely use a little variety, and this season Im ready to swap my exposed zippers, studded hardware, and bells and whistles for something I can really use on an everyday basis. Woven bags are hot this season because the added texture does wonders for even the most classic, basic silhouette. Your average leather tote gets a cool summer upgrade with woven cut-outs, while plain compact clutches are suddenly way less boring and boxy when woven details give it that extra sheen and visual interest. Still not enough glitz for your day-to-day carry-all? Choose a metallic version to weave your way from day to night!

Most men consider black and white the most popular necktie color. For a reason we speak of a black tie attire and white tie dress code. While black and white are the most formal bow tie colors, neck ties can add formality in several other color shades. One of the overlooked formal necktie colors is silver. Below is a guide on how to wear, and how to match the silver necktie. In addition we feature three popular silver ties and give you ideas on how to dress each tie up or down.
The Solid Silver Tie Without doubt, the solid color tie made from a smooth and shiny silk is the most formal design and pattern (or non-pattern). This solid silver silk tie will be a perfect choice for a classic formal or semi-formal dress code. It will be a perfect accessory for a “black tie optional” dress code in combination with white dress shirt, black or charcoal suit, and a matching silver handkerchief. We also suggest that this tie is knotted with a slightly asymmetric Four in Hand knot.
Add More Texture If solid color ties are too plain for you then we suggest you have a look at this light silver tie with fine cross-pattern. The pattern is woven into the fabric and adds a nice texture to the fabric. Besides having a different texture the weave adds a unique sheen to the tie. It appears to be solid in plain in color but a closer look actually shows the intricate fabric weave. This tie suits formal as well as semi-formal dress codes.
Formal Silver Tie with Stripes Who says that striped ties are meant for business? This solid color striped tie is one of our most formal striped neckties. It is made from a single color yarn and the striped pattern is created by switching the yarn’s weaving direction. If you are looking to add some pattern to your formal or semi-formal attire then this silver tie is for you. For more information as well as a bigger picture, please click on the image on the left.
