Red-Hot Handbags Are On Fire This Fall!
I’ll admit it. When it comes to handbags, I tend to stick to more versatile shades (*cough* boring *cough*) that I can wear with anything — black, grey, camel, the occasional neutral metallics. Sure, I’ll dabble with plenty of sparkle and hardware, but when I’m splurging on an accessories staple to take me through the season, I want something I can rock without having to worry about it clashing with my outfit. Well, color-shy handbag collectors (like my previous self), get ready for your world to be rocked! This fall it’s all about red bags, and believe it or not, the look is surprisingly versatile! It’s meant to serve as a pop of color, so don’t worry about being so matchy-match (in fact, it’s best if you don’t!), and it makes a statement that’s eye-catching and a refreshing break from monochrome!
Be careful though — red accessories, when overdone, can often come off as tacky, so make sure to choose wisely to make sure the look stays luxe! In other words, matching bag, shoes, nail polish, and lipstick all at the same time is a big fat no-no. Also, instead of the traditional cherry, try sticking to deeper brick reds or orange-y coral reds for a more modern interpretation of the color!
