Katherine Heigl chooses the right outfit and the right Valentino bag, just not together
Lately, I feel kind of bad for Katherine Heigl. Sure, her image problems are mostly of her own doing and she chooses rather uninspiring projects, but from time to time, her movies can be kind of cute. I saw Life as We Know It this weekend, and I found myself totally not hating it, even if it was massively predictable.
Unfortunately, this ensemble is not doing anything for her cool factor. I love different textures of black mixed together, but pairing them with the Valentino Leopard Calf Hair Bow Tote is not exactly an inspired decision. The tote’s pattern is mostly accented by brown (not the brown leather handles), and it gives the overall appearance that she didn’t bother to change out her daytime bag when she went out for the evening – the proportion is wrong, in addition to the color. On it’s own, this is a great bag, but the pairing leaves much to be desired.
