Ladies and gentlemen, the Giles Deacon Dinosaur Bag is to be attempted by supermodels and style professionals only. On an average woman like myself, it’s likely to come of as crass, silly, juvenile, ridiculous or all of the above. And when I say “likely,” I mean you will absolutely look like a moron if you try to carry this bag. Or at least I would.
Supermodel Agyness Deyn, on the other hand, manages to make it look kind of cool. She’s exactly the person for whom this design was intended, and you have to have serious style credentials in order to make a leather triceratops look chic. And yet, she does – her tough leather jacket and short hair counteract some of the juvenile nature of the bag, and it’s clear to all who see her that she absolutely meant to look like that and carry that bag.
