Trintec Aviation Instrument Clocks and Coasters

I have always liked having cool clocks on the wall at home, and having a home with lots of rooms, I require a plentiful amount of clocks to place in different rooms. Now, if I put Instrument clocks up on every wall, my wife would probably not appreciate it, but what I do in my office and den she really doesnt care. I have several clocks in my den, one of which is one of these Trintec Industries Aviation Instrument clocks, and it is pretty cool.

Shown here are two of the coasters that came in the 6-coaster set as well as the 6 clock, which is actually 6.5. The Clock case that Trintec uses looks EXACTLY like those fake Bell Ross dealer clocks I see on eBay. I bet those guys are using trintec Clocks to make them. Trintec makes a bunch of cool little aviation and marine instruments, as well as watches, which are less interesting to me. I am more interested in their accessories and clocks.

Heres a close up of the 6 clock, which retails for $29.95 on the Trinec website. The clock has no second hand, and thus no ticking sound.. which is nice. The watch also features a real glass lens, which is a nice feature. There are several different dial styles available that you can see on the website.

Here are the coasters, which come in a set of 6, with each one having a different pattern on it. Most of the coaster styles are available as clock dials as well. Trintec has some cool gadgets too.. but I only wanted the coasters are the larger 6 wall clock. The 6 refers to the lens size.. the actual clock is slightly bigger at 6.5 as I had mentioned earler. All the clocks are made in Canada too, which is a plus.

Very cool stuff that would make a great inexpensive gift for that clock/watch/aviation enthusiast in your life.

An opportunity to own a unique Panerai print by Eng Tay and to win a PAM390

If you love Panerai, then here’s your chance to own a very unique piece of art, created by well known Paneristi and New York based artist Eng Tay. Eng created a special edition print of the sought after Panerai PAM360. All the funds raised will benefit the Mulliganeers, who help the families of children in sickness and in need.

If you are not a regular on paneristi.com – which you should be of course ;) – then you may have missed this. But if you are quick, you still have a chance to own a very unique signed and numbered piece of art, to help Mulliganeers and… you also have a unique chance at winning a beautiful Panerai PAM390 which was donated by Officine Panerai!

If you are a Panerai enthusiast and you have a heart, then don’t let this opportunity pass you by!

Follow this link for further information on how to donate/buy your unique print:

You will automatically have a shot at winning the PAM390 if you donate for the print. More info here:

Mind you, the PAM390 is not just any old Panerai ;) This watch was released this year (unknown at the SIHH 2011), it is a limited watch with a beautiful brown base dial, beige indices and gold hands. This is already a very sought after watch that sells well over list price because there are many who want one, while only 2,000 units are and will be made. Sadly I haven’t had the opportunity to take any photos of the watch myself, but if you follow the above links you’ll see a very nice photo of it. Congratulations in advance with your print and good luck with your chance at winning the PAM390!

Graff GraffStar Grande Date With Diamonds Watch

My first question to Graff at this point would be why do all of your watch names also have to include the word Graff? You can see exactly what I mean in the Graff GraffStar  Grande Date watch name. The watches are nice, and this model is no exception. According to Graff they use a special movement made in Switzerland exclusively for them. The new caliber is called the Graff 1 and is manually wound with the time, subsidiary seconds, big date, and power reserve indicator. The view of the movement through the rear of the watch is almost as impressive as the front.

Graff timepieces, like other products from the brand, are pure luxury. Very high-end with prices and pedigree to match. No Graff timepiece is complete without a venerable slathering of diamonds. Large finely cut diamonds are used on the watch case bezel, as well as for the hour indicators. A green emerald is used as the 12 oclock indicator. The case is available in 18k rose or white gold. Attached to the strap is a black alligator Strap. What I wonder most is the perception onlookers might have if you walk by them wearing one of these watches. As an exclusive luxury brand, Graff also has the problem that not many people in mainstream culture have awareness of what they do. Hopefully the watch design (and diamonds), speaks for itself. Graff will produce just 50 pieces of the GraffStar Grande Date with Diamonds limited edition watch.

Breitling Chronomat 44 TopGun Limited Edition

Breitling releases another Limited Edition model, the Chronomat 44 TopGun Limited Edition. The US Navy TopGun aviation school, has joined with Breitling to offer this special watch released in a limited number of 500. Previously, this distinction belonged to IWC and their Ceramic Pilot Chrono, but I guess it is now Breitlings Honor.

The watch is based on Breitlings Chronomat 44 and will probably feature the same Breitling 01 Caliber that is in all Chronomat 44s and also share the same case. Major differences with this TopGun limited edition will be the dial and the case back, which will feature an engraved TopGun logo.
